The sensors
journal review group is a semi-formal congregation by
graduate students to discuss recent scientific research
papers and technologies. The discussion is initiated by a
brief presentation by one of the graduate students based on
a scientific journal article, a scientific topic or a
technology related to sensors. We have 1 or 2 presentations
at each meeting and the presentations are on a rotational
basis among the graduate students.
The goal of the group is to allow graduate students to
expand our knowledge in our field of expertise, expose
ourselves to new ideas and technologies, and also to promote
professionalism among graduate students.
This is an opportunity for us as graduate students to be in
an environment where we feel free to discuss our scientific
expertise with confidence and hence there will be no faculty
or post-docs present at these meetings.
