Claudia A. Ponce de Leσn Hill,
Ph.D., Full Time Associate Professor C, Facultad de Ciencias,
Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, UNAM; Interest in
metals: Being in an Environmental Laboratory, metals are an
important part of an environment diagnostic. We determine metals
in water, soil, sediment, air particles and biological samples
and the possible relationship of the contaminant concentrations
in the ecological cycle. We are interested in starting to do
speciation of metals in some of these matrices.

Silke Cram Heydrich,
Ph.D., Full Time Researcher A,Instituto de Geografia, UNAM;
Interest in metals: Metal contamination in soil and sediments is
widespread and their mobility and availability becomes of great
importance. Our research centers in this area.

Liliana Saldivar y Osorio,
Dr. R. Nat., Full Time Professor C, Facultad de Quimica, UNAM;
Interest in metals: Metals can be of detrimental to human
health, therefore our research is focusing in the study of trace
metals, specifically, vanadium in rats.

Felipe Vasquez Gutierrez,
Ph.D., Full Time Researcher A, Instituto de Ciencias del Mar y
Limnologia, UNAM; Interest in metals: Our research involves
Marine Physicochemistry and Environmental Quality. Our interest
in metals is the mobility and concentration determination in
marine environment including sediments, organisms and water.

Cecilia Vanegas Perez,
Ph.D., Full Time Professor A, Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM; In
aquatic environments, the toxicity of metals is of great concern
when doing environmental risk assessment. Our interest in metals
is the causal relationship between metal concentrations in
water, sediments and organisms and the biological adverse
effects.

Cristina Siebe Grabach,
Ph.D., Full Time Researcher B, Instituto de Geologia, UNAM;
Interest in metals: We are soil scientists and our interest in
metals is as soil contaminants, particularly their mobility,
toxicity toward biota and their distribution in the soils.
