Research Areas Technology in Chemical Education
Efforts are focused primarily on the MeasureNet networked laboratory data collection system. This includes development and modification of experiments for electronic data collection with this system in our undergraduate laboratory program. It also includes further development of the MeasureNet system itself, both in hardware additions and software improvements, and most notably in directions involving the use of the internet. Most recently this has included automatic remote data storage and retrieval in our freshman lab program, where each student has a password-protected individual account for automatically uploading data from the lab, and later retrieving it for analysis elsewhere. More information about the MeasureNet system is available at MeasureNet Technology, Ltd.
