Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

ANNOUNCEMENT: New NMR Facility webpage will be accessible soon. Stay tuned for link to the new website in the near future!!!

A modern Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility exists in the department. It currently houses a Bruker DMX 500 MHz spectrometer with GRASP capabilities, a new AV 400 MHz spectrometer also with GRASP capabilities, an upgraded Bruker AMX 400 MHz wide-bore spectrometer with solid-state capabilities, and an AC 250 general purpose spectrometer. All of the spectrometers have multi-nuclear and variable temperature capabilities. Also, available for the undergraduate organic laboratory is an Anasazi 90 MHz pulsed Fourier transform broadband instrument. The facility is directed and maintained by Dr. Keyang Ding and his support staff. Students, faculty, and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to use any instruments needed for their research. Instruction and assistance in using the NMR spectrometers is available.
