Rudy Thomas

Rudy Thomas is the chemistry department's lecture demonstrator and assistant Oesper Museum curator and conservator.  He is originally from Kulpmont, PA.  His undergraduate degrees are from Bloomsburg State University and his graduate degree is from the University of Cincinnati.  This year marks his 33rd year as a resident of Cincinnati, OH.

The demonstration facility has enricked the department's teaching of introductory chemistry for more than 21 years.  The demonstrations are extremely popular with UC students, as well as with our outreach programs.  There is nothing more satisfying than the applause from a lecture hall of 300 students when a chemical demonstration is successful in stimulating, educating and entertaining.

Contributions to the Oesper Collections involve the retrieval of donations, restoration work, and the construction of accurate historical reproductions, as well as day to day operations.
