Meeting Summary

The 2003 Annual Meeting of the American Crystallographic Assn., (ACA) will be held in Covington, Kentucky, July 26 - 31, 2003. Covington, Kentucky is located across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio and is minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. All scientific sessions, posters and the exhibit show will be held in the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

The meeting will begin with four workshops on July 26 including:
  • Using the Crystals & Rotax Suite of Programs for Chemical Crystallography
  • Using the CCP4 Suite of Programs for Macromolecular Crystallography
  • Cambridge Structural Database
  • Crystallization Techniques & Secrets
The meeting will feature two ACA Award Presentations and several Symposia.
  • The 2003 Martin J. Buerger Award will be presented Dr. James Ibers (Northwestern U.).
  • The Bertram Warren Award for 2003 will be presented to Dr. Takeshi Egami (U.of Pennsylvania).
  • The Transactions Symposium, Neutron Diffraction, is being organized by Gerry Bunick and Leif Hanson.
  • A special symposium on time-resolved crystallography, organized by Phil Coppens and Keith Moffat, is also being planned.
